Re: Settling pack dominance
((You guessed it.))
Shine nodded to him as he settled back and looked around. "If we have more wolves, can we spare another search party? One to search for magical traces." She asked, taking another bite.

Re: Settling pack dominance
Cordath nodded perhaps that was a good idea "Perhaps we and an elder or two could escort a couple shamman's to take a look" he suggest knowing until now they'd only employed trackers

Re: Settling pack dominance
Shine nodded in agreement to this. "When we've finished here, and the other patrols have left." She whispered. "There's no need to worry everyone by the two of us leaving with shamans on a separate patrol without explanation. We leave after they do, and get back before they do." She said, and-as if they had nothing planned-too another bite of the kill.

Re: Settling pack dominance
Cordath nodded an affirmative and resumed eating before she finished it all off "Do you have a mate shine?" Cordath asked casually as they ate

Re: Settling pack dominance
Shine's surprise at this question was almost painfully obvious, and she nearly shocked on the piece of meat she had in her mouth. She swallowed it hastily and looked at him curiously. "No. Never had one. The other Alpha was just that. Another Alpha."

Re: Settling pack dominance
"Interesting" Cordath replied surprised in turn by her surprise it can't be a surprise that he was interested in her, nor can he tell if the surprise was a good or a bad sign "would you ever consider having one?" He asked casually turning towards her.

Re: Settling pack dominance
((Sorry ))
Shine cast a shifty look at him. "No. I never really felt I needed one." She stated, and took another bite of the kill, trying to keep her tone casual and unsuspecting.

Re: Settling pack dominance
Cordath shrugged casually thinking to himself {Oh well} not overly concerned or at all worked up about it he finished his half of the mountain lion and began to think on who they should take with them for the search. "Any idea on who we should take shine?" he asked her as he waited for the wolves to disperse so they could begin their hunt.

Re: Settling pack dominance
Shine looked around, her eyes narrowed. "We've sent all the warriors and hunters out, so two shamans should be good. We can handle ourselves. The Lead Shaman and her apprentice should be fine." She answered smoothly, and she began to polish off the last of the kill.
Re: Settling pack dominance
Cordath gave a nod and stood up "I will go find them, and tell them to stay after the patrols have started." He said partly to be proactive, partly as an excuse to retreat from the suddenly awkward situation

Re: Settling pack dominance
Shine nodded and set to finishing the meal, also eager to escape the awkwardness.

Re: Settling pack dominance
Cordath hurried away to talk to the shamans. Wondering what the hell had made him think hitting on the female alpha was in any way a good idea.

Re: Settling pack dominance
((Oh look! I'm still lazy!))
Shine polished off the meal and watched her fellow alpha leave, slightly disconcerted. She shrugged it off and returned to wondering what the MoonPack wolves had to keep so hidden.

Re: Settling pack dominance
(I feel like this about as far as we can go in this particular RP, start another with the scouting mission?)
